The Hertfordshire Cricket League invited us to advise on what they could do with their existing site. At the time they had just secured sponsorship from the Saracens rugbyteam.
The league wanted to automate the publishing of data without the need to keep rewriting static HTML pages. We developed their new site around a database solution, the amount of data to update on a weekly basis is quite substantial, or it became that when we showed them a prototype of a our proposed solution.
In the past they only published some of the data they had because it was such an arduous task. Information that is now regularly updated is the weekly fixtures and results, there are several hundred matches played every week during the season.
The number of hits on the site multiplied significantly over the next couple of months. They now achieve over 2 million hits per season, this compared to the several thousand before we revamped is quite a substantial increase.
They have recently signed up to one our new hosting packages, they are very impressed with the cost, the efficiency and the quality of hosting.
